These guides walk you through the Writz app at testnet.writz.xyz, click by click. Everything runs on test networks: Stellar testnet and Bitcoin signet. The coins are free test coins with no value, so you can try every step without risk.
Writz is on testnet only. The contracts are not audited yet. Never send real BTC, real USDC or a wallet that holds real funds to the testnet app.

What you can do

Set up in this order

1

Get a Stellar account

Either install Freighter, a browser wallet, or sign in with Google, GitHub or email to get a test account with no wallet to install. Both work for every part of the app.
2

Install Xverse on Bitcoin signet

Only needed to borrow. Follow Set up Xverse.
3

Get test funds

Test XLM for Stellar fees, test BTC to lock and test USDC to lend or to repay interest. All free: Get test funds.
4

Connect your wallets in the app

Before you start

  • Use a desktop browser. Freighter and Xverse are browser extensions. Chrome, Brave and Edge work.
  • Use test wallets. Create new wallets for testnet, or at least a separate account, and never type a recovery phrase that protects real funds into anything you are testing.
  • Plan for the Bitcoin wait. A loan starts with a real Bitcoin signet transaction, and signet blocks arrive about every 10 minutes, sometimes slower. The app shows how many confirmations it is waiting for, and you can close the page and come back.

About the screenshots

The screenshots come from the app itself. Some show example amounts, addresses and prices, so your numbers will differ. Button names and messages are exactly what the app shows. If something on your screen does not match a guide, see Troubleshooting or report it on GitHub. Last checked against the app on 2026-10-25.
